mobilezone.ch with Rails
We relaunched the website of the mobilzone AG - the biggest mobile phone store chain in Switzerland - with Ruby on Rails. In doing so we integrated an already existing MySQL database and made it compatible with Rails.
To program a high performance site that is also attractive for the user, we used AJAX (jQuery has been used as library) for many parts of the project.
Another highlight was the extraordinary connection with GoogleMaps - including an auto-complete search for mobilezone shops and multiple map windows, reacting to each others' changes.
